Masons Ale February 2026
Masons enjoyed the company of local sides Ridgeway, Ducklington, Kirtlington, Cry Havoc, Mr Hemmings, Summertown, Wolvercote and Wychwayz, who all provided us with great dancing and entertainment! It was our 45th anniversary, and one of our side, Elsie, has been with us since our inception. We look forward to the summer dance-out season with our fellow Oxfordshire dancers!
Fritillary Sunday at Ducklington and Upton May Weekend
A Sunday in April saw Masons Apron dancing at Ducklington, by the Church, alongside our hosts Ducklington Morris. Home-made cakes and teas, meadows of fritillaries, bell ringing and all the essentials of an Oxfordshire village were on display. Ater that excellent start to our dance out season, it was off to Upton Upon Severn for the May 1st weekend. Caravans were circled on the field and Saturday and Sunday saw Masons dancing their way around the town and on Sunday, through the town in the great Morris procession.

Summer Dance Outs
This summer Masons will be dancing out at various pubs in Oxfordshire, including the Masons Arms in North Leigh, The Oxfordshire Yeoman with Cry Havoc, the Red Lion Kidlington with Armaleggan and Wychwayz, The Bell at Ducklington with Ducklington Morris, outside the Town Hall in Woodstock with Kirtlington Morris, the Red Lion at Eynsham with Eynsham Morris and Cornucopia, the Eagle in Abingdon with Mr Hemmings, the Plough at Finstock with Charlbury and Finstock Morris and The Boat at Thrupp with Ridgeway, Owlswick and Summertown Morris. What could be better?
